What is a Design Lab? A Design Lab is a workshop that brings people together to discuss solutions for how to address community well-being and social issues. Click the link above to register on eventbrite!
You are invited to participate in any or all of the following three Design Labs:
Design Lab 1: Navigation and Coordination 9:45 AM – 11:45 AM
- Exploring ways to increase awareness, participation, and coordination of social programs/community initiatives/social safety net to improve access and cater to diversity in our community.
Design Lab 2: Mental Health and Wellness 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM
- This session will review the opportunities and challenges of mental health and wellbeing service provision to leverage existing resources and improve coordination of these services.
Design Lab 3: Access and Affordability 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM
- This session will focus on strategies to address current gaps in the housing market (populations, accessibility, suitability) and how to bring affordable housing to Chestermere.
A final report will be presented in the spring/summer of 2020. Once approved, a new Social Investment Framework will be created to guide program funding starting in 2021.
