Consultation has concluded. Thank you for your participation.

East Lakeview Road was originally designed as a rural road with ditches and wasn’t meant to have sidewalks. As the community has grown, concerns about pedestrian safety on this road have also grown.

We’d like to invite your thoughts on how we can improve pedestrian safety in your neighbourhood.

Ways to participate:

1. Open House: The City is hosted an Open House on Dec 5 at Camp Chestermere. Thanks to all who came out!

2. Click here to leave a comment on the map (open December 6-20)

Just wanted to say, please at a minimum, drop the speed limit to 40 kmh. I’m guessing sidewalks would cause our property taxes to increase by leaps and bounds, and I can’t afford that. So just drop the speed limit! Such an easy fix :) A school/playground zone by the school field would be a wonderful idea too. Especially given the traffic congestion that happens in the summer with camp Chestermere and the soccer fields.

Hey Jen, Thanks for your comment. This is one of the options being considered for sure.
